Historial Académico y Profesional

Alexis Delgado Búrdalo es músico, poeta y cineasta. Estudió piano y se graduó en la Guildhall School of Music and Drama de Londres. Es miembro del dúo de pianos Johann Sebastian Jazz, especializado en obras de J.S.Bach con improvisaciones de jazz. Su primer libro de poemas se titula La flor del vacío (Amargord Ediciones, 2010).

Como cineasta es autor del cortometraje documental Tres mujeres, Visions du Réel (Suiza, 2014), Primer Premio en el 24º Festival de Cine de Madrid PNR (2015) y Primer Premio en el 66ª Montecatini International Short Film Festival (Italia) y Mención Honorífica en el 9º Festival Internacional de Cine Documental MiradasDoc (2014).

Su segundo cortometraje Noche se estrenó en el 54º Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón, 20º Festival de Málaga y en 62º Cork International Film Festival (Irlanda, 2017).

Su primer largometraje documental This film is about me, en co-producción con El Viaje films y 59 en Conserva, se estrenó mundialmente en el 50º Visions du Réel (2019) y en España en el 16º Festival de Cine Europeo de Sevilla. Ha ganado el Premio Mejor Mediometraje en el 60º Festival Dei Popoli (Italia), el Premio a Mejor Opera Prima en FIDBA (Festival Internacional de Documental de Buenos Aires) y se ha proyectado en festivales prestigiosos como 26º Sheffield Doc/fest, 62º Dokleipzig, 32º IDFA, 35º FICG, etc.

Alexis Delgado Búrdalo is a musician, poet and filmmaker. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where he studied piano. He is a member of the piano duo Johann Sebastian Jazz, who specialize in the works of J.S. Bach with jazz improvisations. His first book of poetry is titled La Flor del Vacío (Amargord Editions, 2010)

With his first short documentary Tres mujeres he won Best Short Film at 24º Festival de Cine de Madrid PNR (2015, Spain) and an Honorific Mention at 9º Festival Internacional de Cine Documental, MiradasDoc (2014, Spain).  His second short film Noche (“Night”) was premiered in the 54º Gijón International Film Festival (2016, Spain) 20º Málaga Festival, and 62º Cork Film Festival (2017, Ireland).

His first feature documentary This film is about me in co-production with El Viaje Films and 59 en Conserva, premiered worldwide at the 50th Visions du Réel (2019) and in Spain at the 16th Seville European Film Festival, has won the Best Medium-length Film Award at the 60th Dei Popoli Festival (Italy), Best First Film at FIDBA (Festival Internacional de Documental de Buenos Aires) and has been screened at prestigious festivals such as the 26th Sheffield Doc / fest, 62nd Dokleipzig, 32nd IDFA, 35º FICG, etc.
